Born in Manhattan. Son of Puerto Rican mother and French father. Raised in the North Bronx. Left home to join the United States Air Force, one year Vietnam. Studied for a BA in Liberal Arts at The Ohio State University, then persued an MA at the University of Windsor, Canada; apprentice to Joyce Carol Oates.
Worked in video production at the Colonial Pipeline Company with David Ulrect
